Ok twilight fans...

It is official that Eclipse was AMAZING. Me and 2 of my twilight friends went to see Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse last night.... what a blast that was.... all 16 theaters at our local cinemas were sold out (it was craziness)

Here is my (andrea's) take on ....the challenge

Ok you twilight fans... thanks for letting us take a little break.
We are so excited to get back here and get to creating some TWILIGHTY GOODNESS.

Can you believe that Eclipse opens in less than 12 days? I know I CAN"T EITHER! It seemed so far away and now it's closer than ever! woooo hooooo!

I might already have my tickets to see it at 12:01am and then that night at 7:30pm. I'm going with 2 different groups of ladies to see the movie. The cool thing at the theater that we are going to see the opening show at is that they will be playing Twilight and New Moon before! It was only $10 more to see both movies and it starts at 6:30pm. And the AMAZING thing is, is that we don't have to leave theater to get new seats for Eclipse....

So with that, here is your next challenge:

We thought what a better way to celebrate the new movie coming out than celebrating those amazing friendships that we have made because of this crazy thing called the twilight saga.
Your challenge is to use the "twilight" colors: black, red and white (and if you want to throw a bit o' gold in there for new moon you can) and incorporate pictures of you and your twilighty friends (could be going to the movies, having a twilight inspired party, heck... even visitng Forks, WA). That's it! You have until June 30th (it only seemed appropriate) at midnight Pacific time to post your layout. Make sure you link it up in the comment section! Winners will be announced on July 2nd, when we'll post another challenge!

Hello Twilighters!! Happy New Year! We hope that you had a fantastic holiday and got all the Twilight/New Moon merchandise you put on those Christmas lists! Looking forward to all the upcoming challenges and moving on to New Moon Challenge by Chapters. Oh yes, we will be moving forward in the series! As long as we have participants we are in! 2010 will also be bringing the third instalment in the movie series, Eclipse!! June 21st will be here before we know it ladies!

We are also bringing in a new Paper Cut Girl on board! Welcome Andrea Ancich! She has been playing along from the start and previously won one of our challenges. Look out for her DT layouts here and check out her blog too!

#7 Nightmare:

Twilighters: Ahh, Bella's dreams. They were often & vivid... and mostly consisted of Edward. We're pretty sure we speak for most of us when we say that we had some AWESOME dreams while reading Twilight. (Ok, so it's not like they've stopped!) We want to know what you dreamt about while reading Twilight. Was it dreams of having Edward or Jacob to yourself? Or were they more nightmarish dreams of being a vicious vampire or a scary wild werewolf? Or did you simply dream of driving those fast cars? We want to hear all about it!

Challenge: Pick three photos that represent your dream and use on your page. They can be photos of scenes from the Twilight movie, a picture of yourself, or one of that dream car!

Non-Twilighters: What are your nightmares (or dreams) about? Are they reoccurring? Are they rooted in something real? What do you think they mean? How long have you had them? Tell us all about them!

Challenge: Pick three photos that represent your nightmares/dreams. They can be pictures you drew, or pictures you took. We want your visions on paper!

#6 [Scary Stories]

Twilighters:

So Bella finds out that Jacob's tribe has stories about the Cullens. Stories about "the Cold Ones" These stories lead Bella down the path to discovering Edward & his family are vampires. We suspect that when you picked up Twilight to read you already knew it was a vampire romance. So why did you read it? What is it about that combo that made you want to read it?

Challenge: Try something new. Try a technique you've been afraid to do for fear of messing up royally. We want you to step out of your comfort zone on this one.

Non-Twilighters:

What are you afraid of? Is it scary movies? Is it a particular animal? Are you afraid of getting old? Is it rejection? We know that everyone has something. Let's hear about it. Get it out & get it down. Odds are, you aren't the only one who fears it!

Challenge: Try something new. Try a technique you've been afraid to do for fear of messing up royally. We want you to step out of your comfort zone on this one!

Whew.
It's been a long couple of days. Hasn't it?
We are ALL recovering from the hotness of New Moon right? :)
The tally for me is still at 2 viewings but I'm working to correct that!

(How many times have you ladies gone?)

Well let's get to the nitty gritty girls.

As you will see there is no new challenge for this week.

We want you to be with your family and loved ones this weekend, and maybe get in another New Moon viewing... haha!

(and we don't want to stress out you crazy Black Friday shoppers!)

We also want to give those of you who haven't had a chance to do one of our previous challenges the chance to catch up.

This also means there is still a chance to get a layout or project in on our previous TWO challenges.

So. Guess which loser was soo excited about the fact she was going to see New Moon EARLY tonight she forgot to do her layout AND she forgot to do our challenge post...

Yep. That'd be me, Kristy.

It's 11:40pm on Thursday night, and I've just come back from seeing New Moon.

(Jealous? :)

CP is over on the West Coast waiting it out like a trooper, hating me for having already seen it & call her freaking out.

Ladies... you will DIE!

(And you just may swing a little to the Team Jacob side. Seriously!)

But enough about that...

(no, not really!!)

So here it is ladies. This week it is ALL about the Twilighters! Sorry non-Twilighters, we still love you, and your challenge will return next week! But in honor of New Moon being released TONIGHT at midnight we are changing up the challenges for this week. And the best part? You've been working on this weeks challenge the last few days without even knowing it. Can you guess what it is?

That's right. We want you to tell us.... TEAM EDWARD? TEAM JACOB? Or are you for one of the other Cullen boys? Maybe even you are lusting after a member of the wolf pack? It's a tell all..... and we expect to hear all the juicy details!!

Challenge: Use the HOTTEST picture you can find of the object of your effection. We want them so HOT the page is on the verge of combusting. We want a fire up in here ladies! Bring it on!

And you know what... this week... there is extra credit! Remember how we asked you to take a picture of yourself during your New Moon screening? Well we wanna amp it up. We want to see you pressed up against cut-outs! Kissing Edward and hugging Jacob! We wanna see you wearing the fangs! Show us your New Moon gear. The crazier the better! We want to know how you showed the world your Twi-obsession!

As for me? Well like I said I just came from seeing New Moon, and in less than 24 hours I will sitting back down with my own local Twi-Hards to watch again! Twice in less than one day, could you die? :) :::sigh:::

I think I speak for Christina & I both when I say we are TOTALLY Team Edward. I have been since day one. It wasn't even a question for me. The break down amongst my fellow local Twi-Hards is pretty uneven it's Edward 7- Jacob 2.

With that said though, I totally get the Team Jacobs. TOTALLY. Being an old woman (ha ha) of 30, I fell a bit creepy swooning over Taylor Lautner. He is a TOTAL cutie, don't get me wrong. But my heart belongs to Edward aka Rob Pattinson.

But I read a comment to the video I posted that made me think maybe we aren't being fair to all you loyal Team Jacob fans by posting so much Robward material. So I am curious... What's the break down out their ladies?

Challenge by Chapter {Blood Type}

Chapter 5 {Blood Type}

Twilighters:
We all know that this is the chapter that depicts the infamous scene were Bella loses her cool at the sight of blood (and is then toted in Edwards arms to the nurse's office... le sigh......) We wanna know if you are like Bella! Do you nearly faint at the sight of blood? Does it make you weak in the knees & dizzy? The idea here is Blood. Go anywhere you want with it!

Challenge: Think Blood. Yep you heard me. (No not the real stuff!) We want you to get out your paint, ink & mists! Get it splotchy, dripping, and pooling! Get that red on your page!

Non-Twilighters:

So maybe you've never read Twilight, but here's the gist.. our girl Bella, she doesn't like blood so much. Makes her faint. We want to know your stance on blood. Are you a donor? Less than two weeks. It's NINE days away ladies! NINE! It seems like the last year has past in the blink of an eye in anticipation over New Moon... and yet it took FOREVER to get here. (I'm usually not one to admit it, but the anticipation of it has been AWESOME!)

So have you seen this new movie trailer? I don't watch much tv, I get my fix directly from the internet... Just thought I'd share... Enjoy! :)

Our prize this week is a little fragrance that I picked up just because of what is is called. You know it's got Twilight in the name, right? HA! Of course it does! This is a purse sized bottle of purfure called Twilight Woods from Bath and Body Works.

Check out Pocket Edward doing his best Vanna White impersonation! He's not included in the prize unfortch. He's got a hot date with me on November 19th!

Twilighters:

The Twilight fandom is all about recruiting. We read it because someone recommended it, then we recommended it to someone else. The addiction creeps up on us slowly & then explodes! Tell us about the way Twilight entered your life, then tell us about who you passed the word onto. We want to see the chain it created in your life.

Double Challenge: We want you to do TWO challenges this week Twi-hards. (We know you've got it in you!) First we want you to make it personal. We want you to use your handwriting on your layout. The second is to introduce Twilight to someone new. (If it's possible someone in your life hasn't already found it & fell in love!) Whether it be the movie or the book. Get them addicted!!

Non-Twilighters:

Has there ever been something you've been so in love with that you had to let everyone know? Was it a new coffee? A pair of shoes? A type of perfume? Facebook? A band? There has to have been something in your life you felt compelled to invite other people to try or experience. Share the experience with us. Was it good? Did it turn out the other person didn't like it? Were you crushed?

Challenge: Forget the age of technology. Before printed invites & email it was all handwritten. That's what we want you to do. Use your own handwriting to tell your story on your layout.

To get started on the next Paper Cut challenge! Unforch, we don't have DT sneaky peeks this week but to make up for it, we wanted to share a Twilight inspired recipe. We are serving Italiano!

Do any of you have a craving for Mushroom Ravioli? Too bad the recipe didn't include a side of Edward Cullen. Le sigh. Bon Apetito!

{Mushroom Ravioli}

2 cups portabella mushrooms, minced

2 cups crimini or oyster mushrooms, finely minced or 4 cups of a combination of other mushrooms, minced (found at your local grocery store)

2 Tablespoons of freshly chopped basil, divided

2 Tablespoons of sesame oil

2 green onions, finely chopped

2 large garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup of white wine (or apple juice)

1/2 cup of parmesan cheeseRavioli doughTomato-Basil Cream Sauce

1/4 cup sun dried tomatoes, soaked in hot water or wine at least 2 hours before use or overnight in refrigerator

1 cup tomato 2 tbsp. fresh chopped basil

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup orange juice

1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions:

In a pan, over medium heat, cook the green onions, garlic, mushrooms and 1 Tablespoon of basil. Next, add the white wine (or apple juice) and cook over medium-low heat for three more minutes. Once cooked, remove from pan and cool. Before using, squeeze out excess moisture, which can be added to sauce. Toss with parmesan and the remaining fresh basil. Use a plain egg pasta dough rolled out to 1/4-inch or less. Make rather large ravioli to serve as appetizers, allowing 2 to a plate. Boil immediately for 4 to 5 minutes or allow to dry before using.

Tomato-Basil cream sauce:

In a saucepan heat tomato concasse with reconstituted sundried tomatoes. Cook until a thick liquid is formed. Process in food processor or blender and strain. Return to food processor and add oil, orange juice, basil and then cream until desired color is reached. Not too much cream, of course. Serve immediately with ravioli above.

Chapter Two: {Open Book}

For the Twilighters:

Define Yourself. Are you a closet Twihard or outright Twilight freak? Do you keep your love of Twilight on the DL or are you proudly prancing around in your "I love Boys who Sparkle" shirt?

Challenge: Tear a book page from your copy of Twilight to use (this is totally blasphemy, we know!!). If you can't bear to rip it out, scan it!

For those of you non Twilighters:

Define yourself as a scrapbooker. What is your style? Are you big on journaling and or just the facts type of scrapper? Ask yourself: What kind of scrapbooker am I?

Challenge: Get out that text patterned paper... or use packaging from your favorite scrapbook company. We all know those iconic logos. Put it on your page!

This week we also have the awesometastic Beth Perry as our first Guest Designer! Beth is a fantastic scrapbooker, lover of the Twilight movie and fabulous jewelry maker!

Welcome to The Paper Cut!!! We are so excited to have followers already. It is awesome and we thank you! Kristy and I hope to inspire you to create, express and have fun in this new Twiscrapping adventure.

We want everyone to be able to play along. These challenges are not open to just Twilight readers. Maybe you've just seen the movies, maybe you haven't read the books, that's okay! We still want you to participate! We will have our "Twilight Challenge By Chapter" prompts along with one that takes the chapter and inspiration and opens it up to be used without the Twilight perspective but used merely as a springboard for a topic you haven't scrapped about before.
